Situated 15 to 20 minutes by speedboat away from the heart of Kota
Kinabalu, the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is the ideal sun, sea and
sand escape minus the hassle of long-distant traveling. One of Sabah's
biggest pride, this marine park was gazatted in an effort to protect the
sea and natural environment. It mothers five idylic island which offer a

Manukan Island This 51-acre boomerang-shaped island is the second largest island in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. Equipped with 20 unit of chalets, a clubhouse, restaurant, souvenir shop, diving center, and recreational facilities; Manukan Island is considered the most mainstream and popular island of the five. With amazing stretches of beaches along the southern coastline, it's alomost a cardinal sin to not lay back on ypur beach towel enjoying a glass of pina colada or BBQ lunch. Craving for some wet and wild adventure? Opt to go scuba diving, parasailing, jet-skling, wakeboarding or even seawalking. |

Gaya Island Gaya Island derives its name from the Bajau word,'gayo', which means big-true to its eponym, it's also the biggest island of the marine park. Gaya Island boasts a 16-mile stretch of shoreline with white sandy and pebbly beaches, mudflats, mangrove and sandstone cliffs. The area in Police Beach, with fine glittering sand sloping gently into the bay, makes it a perfect spot for swimming and snorkeling. The coral reefs along the entire coasts of the island are also well-preserved. The two resorts located on this island are Gayana Eco-Resort and Bunga Raya Resort. |

Mamutik Island At a minuscule 15-acre, Mamutik is the smallest of the five islands in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. It is accommodated with a three- bedroom resthouse for rent and equipped with facilities such as changing rooms, toilets, picnic shelters and barbecue pits. Surrounded by rich coral life and diverse dive sites, this island is more popular amongst scuba divers. Visitors staying at the resthouse must bring their own food as no canteen facility is available. |

Sapi Island Deemed as one of the nicest and cleanest island in the park, Sapi is a small 25-acre island adorned with soft golden sand, crystal clear azure wawter and coral reefs fringing the shoreline. It has a way of enticing water babies to just jump in and frolic in the sea. Want to go underwater sans briny wet hair? Sign up for a seawalking adventure instead. Picnic shelters, barbecue pits, changing rooms and toilet facilities are available here. |

Sulup Island Being the farthest away and the rawest of the five islands, Sulug is tailor-made for those seeking for a bit of peaceful and equiet exclusivity. The island is characterised by its rocky shorelines and an abandoned 'Castaway' feel to it. There are good reef patches at the southern end of the island for the exploration of scuba diving enthusiasts, Changing rooms, toilets, picnic shelters and tables are provided. |
