What is Latex?
Latex is a specific type of rubber manufactured from the sap of rubber trees natively found in Brazil, South America, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Field latex, as it is called, comes in a white substance that is made up of one third rubber and two thirds of water, resins, sugar, proteins and mineral matter. During the manufacturing process, chemicals such as ammonia, antioxidants, accelerators and other preservatives are added.
Exposure to airborne latex proteins absorbed by powders used to line gloves had caused incidence of latex allergy. This has resulted in the development of LOW PROTEIN gloves as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) believes that lower protein level in gloves will significantly reduce the risk of allergy incidence associated with latex sensitivity.
We have taken our cue from the FDA and manufactured low protein latex gloves that are engineered for long usage and total comfort. These gloves are manufactured under the strictest quality standards and the high quality latex are treated through a complete cleansing process to reduce the water extractable protein levels.

Nitrile is a relatively new material used in manufacturing of high performance protective gloves. It is made from a synthetic polymer known as cargoxylated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber.
