Description : Septi-Sol Solution contains 77% v/v ethanol & 0.5% w/v chlorhexidine gluconate in a no-rinse, easy to apply base. The combination of the active ingredients provides rapid acting and residual antimicrobial activity against a wide range of microorganisms. Regular use helps reduce healthcare associated infections.Indication:
For hand disinfection of healthcare personnel. Septi-Sol Solution is to be used as a supplement to handwashing when hands are not visibly soiled or when soap and water are not conveniently or readily available.
Direction for use:
If skin or hands are visibly soiled, clean and dry hands before using Septi-Sol Solution.
- Apply 2 to 3 ml onto hands and rub until dry.
- After 7-10 applications, wash hands with soap and water.
Precautions:
Avoid contact with eyes, brains, meninges and middle ear. Not suitable for use in body cavities. Localized allergic reactions may occur with the use of this product in sensitive individuals. If redness or irritation occurs, stop using the product.
Contraindication:
Septi-Sol Solution is contraindicated in individuals who are hypersensitive to chlorhexidine or to other ingredients in the formulation.
Warning:
Flammable, keep product away from fire or flame.
Side Effects:
Eyes: May cause serious injury. Do not use near eyelids.
Skin: May cause irritation. If skin shows signs or sensitivity (irritation, redness) discontinue use.
Overdose:
Symptoms: May cause stomach distress, nausea and vomiting if ingested.
Treatment: Rinse mouth and then drink 1 or 2 large glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician if discomfort persists.
