Efficas Care is pleasant-tasting berry flavored emulsion. The daily serving size is 12 grams, or about one tablespoon. After seven years of research, they found that a unique combination of two essential fatty acids found in nature, GLA and EPA, can significantly reduce the production of leukotrienes, leading to a better quality of life for asthma sufferers. These two fatty acids had to be provided to patients in just the right amounts and ratio, and specially formulated to improve absorption, to most effectively block leukotrienes. While Efficas Care is intended for use with multivitamins and other supplements, we recommend that Efficas Care be your only source of supplemental GLA, EPA and DHA fatty acids, and that you not use supplemental borage oil, evening primrose oil or fish oil. What about side effects? There are no known significant side effects. In clinical studies the product has been shown to be safe and well-tolerated when used as directed. However, some individuals may be intolerant of borage oil, or allergic to soy or fish.
