Tunku Abdul Rahman Park: Pulau Sapi

This island has a distinct advantage of having some of the nicest beaches with white sand, sparkling crystal clear water and a coastline fringed with beautiful coral reefs. It is the ideal place for snorkeling, diving and swimming. If you can do neither of this but do not want to be left out from discovering underwater treasures, take a glass boat rental service instead. Hiking trails through the interior provide an excellent opportunity for nature appreciation.

There are no accommodation facilities but picnic shelters, barbeque pits, tables, changing rooms and toilets are provided for day use. Camping is allowed with the permission of the Park Warden.

Itinerary

After breakfast, 8:30am meet at hotel lobby process to jetty. Depart from jetty for a boat ride to one of the island wish locater in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. (SAPI Island )Free at own leisure. Enjoy trekking, swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing or just simply relaxing under the shady palm trees as the breezy wind and the muscular waves are singing. Enjoy BBQ lunch. Optional activities such as snorkeling and various water sports are available. 3.15pm transfer back to mainland.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park: General Guidelines for Visitors

The park was created for the protection of the natural environment, including the coral reefs, marine life, and the flora and fauna. Certain guidelines have been created to ensure the conservation of these natural treasures. Visitors are advised to observe the regulations that are prominently displayed all over the islands.

Visitors are strictly prohibited to engage in any of the following activities

• Hunt or carry firearms, poison, spear guns, and dangerous weapons within the park
• Harm or disturb any plant, animal or other living things
• Pick, cut, or collect plants, insects, corals, shells, and any other materials, dead or alive
• Write names on rocks, trees, or shelters
• Bring pets into the park Taking away any plant, animal or other living or non-living things are strictly forbidden without prior written permission from the Director of Sabah Parks. Fishing, however, is permitted with the use of hook and line only.
